WD had an outage since yesterday and now it is up and running.
But plex was showing server as offline. so i disabled and reenabled server. Since then i am not able to see any media and i am not getting first time setup of media folders as well.
Same here, sadly we have to wait for WD to update the Plex app on the MyCloud Home server. It appears that they are not in any hurry to do this as the announcement states will update some time in the future
Plex is not open source software and WD doesn’t seem to have a new PMS build from Plex that they can validate and verify to put on for release at the WD Cloud portal. But WD seemed to have fixed the authentication back end of My Cloud Home OS4 in the latest software update to 7.15.1-101 and the security certificate seems to be working.
Set Plex Media Server (PMS) settings, network, secure connection back to ‘preferred’ and relay play will work again over remote PC browser app and presumbaly other mobile apps as well. This is not tested very much so YMMV.
Same problem with me. Although I can see the servers on my app both on the computer and Tv, the same does not apply when it comes to the web app or the iPhone app, both are unable to find the servers and their content. I’m growing more dissatisfied with the WD MyCloud Home every single day. Let’s hope they resolve this issue swiftly.
