Missing DVD

Server Version#: Version 1.31.3.6868

I was searching for Bruce Springsteen Live in New York City the other day and was unable to locate it within my Plex library:

Yet it is in my NAS library:

I ran the library scan a few times, but the video never appeared.

Any idea why this one would not appear when all others do? Note that Houston ’78 and Thrill Hill Vault are both within the Darkness in the Edge of Town folder.

Thanks!

I suppose this is about media in a movie library?
Would you mind sharing the actual file names and what folder in that structure is actually linked to your library?

Based on the parts of the file name we can already see, Plex might try to stack the two files into a single item… but do dar I’m not seeing anything that should make Plex ignore your files entirely.

Yes, this media is in a movie library.

Here are the file names:

I’m unclear by your last question about the structure and the linkage. My best understanding is everything that is under the parent folder above “Video - MKV” is what is linked and regularly scanned into Plex:

Hope that helps.

Everything in a movie library should have a year in parenthesis. Especially a title with key words like “New York”. That could be matched as a duplicate to many different items

You may have to Plex dance the file as you rename it for it to show up properly

That took care of it. Thanks.

I’m now going through the cleanup of my library - post Plex dance!

If you have a lot of movies to clean up I suggest this renaming program. It’s much easier than doing things manually and improves matching significantly
