Server Version#:Synology DS218+

I recently upgraded my player (5 days ago). I have used it since and it was playing movies without a problem. Today I went to move some new videos over to the “movies” library and all my library files (movies, music, TV shows) are gone. It used to be that I would point to the server, find the plex directory, and then there were the three sub folders in that directory. Now it is completely empty.
When I look up the file information for the movies in my player, they are all still pointing to plex\movies\filename. And the drive is still showing the capacity occupied, but the folders (and the files) are missing. I have a ton of files here. This is really beginning to concern me. Even when I search for a file on the server using finder it is coming up blank.
Any thoughts?
