I have several media titles which are missing from the library views in my daughter’s managed account but show up in the recently added and in search results. This is happening on all the platforms that she uses Roku, LG Web OS TV, Android (online and synced media).
I can reproduce this on the server using the web interface. If I use my wife’s managed account or my admin account all the titles are present.
As far as I can see there is no difference in the rating or classification of the title, I have compared multiple working and non-visible titles and they are rated below my daughter’s age restriction of Older Kid (most titles are U or PG ) and it makes no difference if I explicitly set the permitted content ratings rather than using the new simplified groupings.
I have also tested my son’s account which is set as Teen, and they don’t show there.
I have removed and re-added the same titles to see if that restores the library view, but nothing has worked.
Thanks for that, they are included in collections, but this didn’t matter until the content restrictions system changed.
She used to be able to see films in collections that were available for her ratings, the collections in question have no ratings assigned and so were being excluded.
It seems a bit strange that the collections should need their own rating, they should if the rating is blank display any films that would be applicable to the users restrictions almost as if the collection didn’t exist.
Is there a way I can identify collections without ratings so that I can fix them without having to check each one individually.
This was added upon request of users. Imagine collections with improper posters or descriptions. Therefore now the age rating of a collection is also taken into account.
