Scanner sees files, but they do not appear in library

I have added new movies to the directory the Plex movies library is looking for them. Those movies do not get displayed under “Recently Added in Movies”, nor can I find them when searching for them. The weird part is, if I look at the server logs (Plex Media Server.1.log), I can see that it sees those movies (first three when it starts scanning at 08:41:46:446) - or at least its directories.

The Plex service account has read rights on the directory. I tried giving the account read / write, but nothing changed. I tried restarting the Plex service as well as optimizing the database, but the issue persists. The naming is pretty straight forward:
Folder: [Name of the movies] (Year)
Files within folders: [Name of the movies] (Year) [Quality]

The issue started recently, I think 1-3 days ago.

I noticed that Plex shows the missing movie as an Empty Folder. I am not sure why, the file plays just fine in any local video player. I have attached a screenshot of the file opened in MediaInfo

This is weird. If I just move the folder out of the library, scan it, move it back in and scan it again, the movie appears. Not sure why that is.
