Plex Media Server Logs_2020-03-19_00-11-49.zip (907.6 KB)

Hi i need help

this has been racking my brain for months and its driving me crazy. i have tried everything i can think of to help solve this issue. Plex constantly keeps stopping can happen every few minutes at best of times it will play for 20mins then stop.

Now cant be a network issue im running ethernet cable not wifi at 93mb download 40mbs upload

cant be cpu issue im running a amd 2800x with 64gb ram at 3000mhz liquid cooled and also a vega 64 12gb graphics card.

can anyone take a look at my logs and see what could be the issue

not sure if this short lists it

Mar 19, 2020 00:11:27.916 [14700] WARN - QueryParser: Invalid field 'contentDirectoryID' found, ignoring.
Mar 19, 2020 00:11:27.945 [12500] WARN - MyPlex: we have an existing connectivity refresh request for async identifier 04d28d89-b19e-4267-a938-161483fe4928, but it has expired so we will try again.

I took the liberty to move that post into an own thread as it appears to be not related to the thread you originally posted into. While doing that I also added code tags around the log snippet to make it easier to read.

As for the issue at hand…
would you mind sharing the media details of the video that has this kind of hiccups?

SNP2004,

Not an expert here with the logs - but just browsing some of them, these lines jump out:

Do you have a FIREWALL or ANTI-VIRUS which may be blocking ports?

Is your Windows 10 PRO or HOME? Is it fully updated? 32-bit or 64-bit (with that much RAM I am hoping 64-bit)?

Has it ever worked? If so, what changed before it stopped working?

STATIC IP address on your machines? Very much so for the PLEX Server. I have my systems set to DHCP, but I have them statically assigned from the router. All my computers always get the same IP Address when they power on - heck everything in my home does. That way if something shows up on my router with an IP not assigned, I know it is not mine.

You can gice this a try as well:

  1. Open an elevated (RUN AS ADMIN) command prompt on the PLEX server.
  2. Type these following (no quotes) in order
    ‘ipconfig /flushdns’
    ‘ipconfig /release’
    ‘ipconfig /renew’
    ‘ipconfig /registerdns’

*this will reset your TCP/IP stack and reset your DNS settings.

  1. REBOOT.

Also if you can lock your NIC into a specific speed - 100/FULL, 1000/FULL (not auto-detect) - I have seen this cause problems with various items on my home network (that are wired). All my cables are CAT-6 and hubs and ports are GB rated - but not a fan of auto-detect speed.

Try turning off FIREWALL and DISABLING the Anti-Virus as a test. Also run a scan for MALWARE.

Just some suggestions - may help.
