Hi joining in, same problem.
I have a weird issue with my LG TV, it won’t connect to server on app, say Server Unavailable. Then I go to my Android phone, open Plex, it to says Server Unavailable. Then a moment later, it connects. I can browse my files, when I go back to my LG TV, the Plex app works fine.
In addition to this, I have enabled Remote Access. I can connect to Plex server on another PC on my Network, however when I try to access the server from a remote PC it says Server Unavailable.
I too have tried the Port forwarding rule, enabling it for TCP and UDP. I believe my router supports UnPnp - its a BT router. I have given Plex a static and DHCP address.
Mostly the Remote Access says my server is available outside my network but if I wait a while it changes to not available and the internet icon gets greyed out. and at no point can I seem to access remotely.
I can access remotely with my Android phone - I do not have to be on my Network to access Plex server on my phone.
I bought the one time subscription to allow streaming to my phone as I thought that might help.
I do not have Plex pass.

I guess its a router thing.
Does anyone think buying a proper router rather than the stock ISP provided one might solve it?
Could it be something to do with ISP addressing and it not being Static?
I’ve read some ISP’s do weird things with your address.
Perhaps we could draw a list up of ISP’s known to work?
Maybe routers too?
When I try to connect remotely I get ‘app.plex.tv is unable to connect to kitchen-pc securely’
I have tried changing the allow unsecure connections before. But I can’t say that I have, enabled disabled remote, enabled insecure connections, then gone outside my network and failed to connect before Plex itself reports its unavailable in the Remote Access part of settings. (I’m not at home to check at that point) When I get home, sometimes Plex says it is available, sometimes it says it isn’t.
Immediately after trying to access remotely I open the Plex app on my phone and it works perfectly. Thats even when using my work staff WiFi.
Great app, if I could just get remote access from another PC not on my network working it would be absolutely perfect.
