I have a Plex Media server running just for local streaming here in the house, and all of the sudden every remote TV (two TCL Smart TVs, and a Fire Stick) all cannot see the media server anymore. it just says “Unavailable”. I have tried all the suggestions I could find, Repairing Plex Media server on the computer, checking to make sure to use unsecure connections on both, signing in and out on the devices, but nothing seems to work. any ideas? it was all working perfectly like a month ago, tried to fire it up to watch a movie last night and boom, not working. please help 
and just for reference it works on the server itself, and i can play a movie so all the content and library is there. Thank you!
well i figured it out. somehow, with a windows update “plex media server” was turned “off” from the allowed list of applications in the windows firewall advanced settings. All other plex entries in the windows firewall were still allowed, but this ONE was for some reason turned OFF…
Sneaky MS. I have all win updates disabled on my server. haven’t updated in months or prob closer to a year and half or longer. It’s only used to run plex anyway.
