Hi guys
As you probably know i lived in Argentina, i found a place in USA that sold cheap media servers (http://www.dealextreme.com/c/pmp-hdd-media-player-103?page=2&pagesize=52&pagesort=pricedesc) some of that run with android OS.
I have my mac with PMS i just wonder if i can buy some of this device to plug on my TV and run Plex client over Android
Is this possible ?
I think in this option because now in Argentina we have some issues with costumers, so this site can do the delivery and their don’t offer roku media player or Apple tV

Yes it is possible but not very practical
- Android version of Plex expects wireless to run, it doesn’t work with ethernet equipped Android set top boxes properly.
- The GUI is designed for touch input and regular remotes do not work well, some players come with a wand remote and this allows control but it is not comfortable to use.
If you can live with those issues then it might be worth pursuing I guess. Keep an eye out for on Dealextreme to see if the player is using an Amlogic chipset if it is then that is usually a re-branded [url=http://www.geniatech.com/pa/android-tv.asp Android TV player which do at least release firmware updates to the devices, there is a beta version with Android 4 available.
