<Not able to sync Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in 4K. Able to sync Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City 1080p.>
Too big for the capacity on your sync/download target?
No, because I have larger files than this is the folder. The 1080p version will match when I select “Fix Match” but the 4K version will not match at all. It brings up the other Resident Evil Movies but not the right one. It’s weird.
In your initial post you were asking about sync – now it appears to be about matching the files?!
I’m confused…
Mind explaining in a few words what problem you experience?
My apologies. I meant matching the files. The 1080p auto matches with no issues but the 4K version will not match.
Would you mind sharing how you named those files and how they’re organized in your library folder?
Resident Evil Welcome To Raccoon City (2021) [1080p] {5.1}.mkv
Resident Evil Welcome To Raccoon City (2021) [2160p] {5.1}.mkv
Here’s the file naming and the 1080p version matched without issue automatically. I can’t get the 2160p version to match automatically or manually.
Have you already tried matching it using e.g. its IMDb ID or The Movie Database ID (with a tmdb- prefix?
The only agent the system allows me to use is the Plex Movie agent. IMDB and TMDB are not options.
I’m not speaking of switching the agent but to match the movie by providing the reference ID from IMDb or TMDb as search term.
I’m not familiar with how to do this. Is this easily explained?
- Click on
Fix MatchorMatchin the movie’s context menu - Click on
Search Optionsto adjust the search parameters - Alternatively to entering the actual movie name in the
Titlefield, enter the movie’s IMDb or TMDb ID-
tt6920084orimdb-tt6920084 tmdb-460458
-
- if you’re not sure about the release year, clear that field
- Click
Search, pick the match result and apply it
Wow!!! Never knew about this. This is awesome, thank you!! How do we get the IMDB/TMDB ID?
They’re part of the URL if you find your movie on their pages.
Example:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6920084
^^^^^^^^^
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/460458-resident-evil-welcome-to-raccoon-city
^^^^^^
The same also works for tv shows w/ references to TheTVDb.
TheTVDb is including their show IDs in the search result pages, on a title’s details page and (sometimes) in the URL
Perfect. This is awesome and very useful information. Greatly appreciate the assistance.
You can also include those in your file naming to avoid the need to manually match things.
Example:
Movies
Resident Evil - Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) {imdb-tt6920084}
Resident Evil - Welcome to Raccoon City (2021).ext
or
Movies
Resident Evil - Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) {tmdb-460458}
Resident Evil - Welcome to Raccoon City (2021).ext

Edit: when including the IMDb reference in the folder name, it should also have a imdb- prefix.
So, I’m trying to match a TV series but getting no results back after plugging in the series ID (tt1263672).
Am I doing something wrong?
This is a “TV Movie”, not a tv show.
Gotcha. Thanks again for the assistance. Greatly appreciated.
