Okay, so I'm really new with Plex, and I have looked to see if my query can be answered elsewhere on the Forums. Unfortunately, I can't see an answer.
My problem in a nutshell: Plex for PS4 can find my libraries and the metadata for everything in my libraries. However, I cannot play any of the actual movies/TV shows I have stored.
All my media are on an external hard drive that is connected to my MacBook Pro via a USB cable.
I dumped a single movie file on to the hard drive on my MacBook Pro, added it to my Plex library, and it buffered and played without any problems on my PS4.
How do I correct this situation and get the files on my external hard drive to buffer/play on Plex for PS4?
