Hi All,
For reasons as are yet inexplicable, all of a sudden a few weeks ago, Movies and Music imported to my PMS libraries no longer would get any associated metadata. The media itself gets written to the library successfully. It can play. However any attempt to refresh the metadata results in nothing.
This PMS (with Plex Pass) is installed on a FreeNAS 11.3 U5 box within a manually built jail, and is kept automatically updated to latest version, from the Plex repo.
Another PMS that I have, running on an Ubuntu 18.04.5 server-based VM, at same Plex release level, is working just fine.
I have already looked around forums for answers, and tried some of the suggested procedures such as clearing the plugin caches etc. Nothing seems to want to work. I cannot see anything amiss in file permissions, nor is there anything obvious popping up in any of the plugin or application log files.
Please can anybody offer any other approach to getting to the bottom of this issue? Happy to provide whichever logs might be needed. Thanks
If you select that movie and chose the “Match…” option from the ellipsis menu, does it return a list of results and if so does selecting the right item fix the problem?
Hmm, I cannot see anything wrong there, everything looks healthy.
Are you sure you still can’t match after the latest restart? I see the server was not restarted between now and at least 9am this morning (as far back as the logs go).
Yeah I just tried the match function again with the same outcome. Agent is set to “Plex Movie”, language initially on English (US) and changed that to UK but still no difference. I can get a result, if I switch the agent to “The Movie Database” and set language to English. But then clicking on that match, I still don’t get any metadata.
