Metadata Error Reset between Plex server and Mobile Apps

Can we please FINALLY get an update that clears errors each time a new sync is attempted? There are situations, such as using a third party app to record shows, that a file is made and starts growing as the show is being recorded. As a result, the server sees the file, and in turn gives a metadata error because the file isn’t closed out. When you go to sync to a mobile device, it tells the device that there is a metadata error. Problem is, once the file is completed and the server sees the full file and has all the info, you still can’t sync that episode because the error is still present on the mobile device. The only fix is to delete the sync profile for that object/show and reset it up. Ridiculous. So can we please can something in the next update that clears the error the next time a sync is initiated?

I can’t say anything about your request but here are 2 things you can do to avoid this problem.

1 - Don’t record directly into your media folder.
2 - Don’t use the automatically update library option. Either run it manually, or if your recording program allows it, run the update as a script by your recording program after it is done recording.

Still nothing?
