Metadata for TV episodes are out of order

I noticed that when watching my TV shows that the description do not match what I’m seeing. I digged a little further by going on thetvdb.com and see that they have different orders depending on the source. Such as Aired Order, DVD Order and Absolute Order. According to what I have stored on my NAS, it’s the DVD version, but it seems to be pulling the metadata off of the ‘Aired Order’ from thetvdb.com. Is there a setting I can change somewhere in Plex to fix the ordering without having to manually change the filenames of each episode?

  1. Open the show in Plex
  2. Click Edit
  3. Select the Advanced tab
  4. Set Episode ordering to DVD order and save the show’s settings
  5. Refresh Metadata for the show

Thanks so much! That fixed it. Onced I changed the episode ordering to DVD order and hit okay, it automatically performed a rescan or refresh for me and now it’s correct! This saved me a ton of time. I was afraid that I would have to go in and rename everything. That would’ve taken up so much time!
