For Black Mirror season 7, the files are correctly named according to Netflix names, but Plex has identified Episode 5 as Episode 1 “Eulogy”, Episode 1 as Episode 2 “Common People” and Episode 2 as Episode 5 “Bete Noire”.
The folder structure is SeriesName - Season 7 - media files.
The files themselves are correct in the name, as in, episode 1 is named Black Mirror - S07E01 - Common People WEBDL-1080p.mkv but still Plex has as Episode 1 the name Eulogy, the cast and crew from the Eulogy episode, as well as the thumbnail.
The same happens for all others.
Manual edit of the episodes can only go so far, as I cannot affect cast and crew in manual edit.
I did try to empty the folder, and then refresh, which did remove the season 7 from Plex, and then reintroduce the files. It found them and again proceeded with the wrong identification.
OMG Thank God it’s not just me, I was just about to make a post about this. I was going crazy over this, trying to reimport things doesn’t do anything and I ended up doing manual editing but the wrong cast and crew is kinda annoying so I guess this will do for now. But yes please do fix this ASAP Plex
Amended the ordering, the season 7 episode order has not changed.
Removed the media files, did a new scan.
Placed them back, did a new scan. Still the order is the wrong one.
Try setting it back to TheTVDB (Aired) and let it refresh metadata. Then, manually set it to The Movie Database (Aired). That process corrected the ordering on some test files I created:

I’m having a similar issue - I use Sonarr which relies on TVDB, but even manually setting the show to TVDB aired (which it already is by default for me), episodes 2 and 5 are swapped. They’re correct on TVDB.
I don’t know if Plex uses some sort of local caching similar to skyhook and it just hasn’t updated yet, but outside of manually adjusting all of the metadata there’s nothing I can do but wait.
Edit: oh okay, I was totally wrong - TVDB aired is completely wrong, not just 2 and 5.
For the above poster, what I did was put it back to TVDB, then lock all the fields for the bandedsnatch special before swapping back to TMDB. That way the special stays.

Nice tip, I hadn’t thought of that.
There seems to be a pretty long Plex server side cache, maybe a manual refresh sometime next week will take care of it as well…
More than a month later, it’s still wrong in spite of TVDB, TMDB and IMDB all being correct. I have all the titles and descriptions manually corrected and locked and thumbnails manually set, but the actors are still all messed up on Eps 1, 2 and 5.
