After my last metadata update of my TV Shows, all TV show episode’s names have been changed to Episode x
Their description has also disappeared.
Playing around with the metadata agents hasn’t changed anything.
The movies and TV Shows have also lost their recommendations (based on actor or related movies) completely.
My Plex server runs on a synology nas and is the version: 1.24.0.4930

I bet its loading embedded metadata from the files themselves. Check and see under advanced for your library if you have Prefer local metadata enabled, I think you may and that is why its loading that data as it will load that metadata first over everything else.
If it is then you have two options: 1) turn off Prefer local metadata for that library or 2) scrub the files themselves and remove the metadata (easytag or mktoolnix depending on your file type).
Once you do 1) or 2) above then do a force refresh of metadata on the library should fix it.

I don’t know if that’s the cause, because the issue appeared when checked the “enhances metadata” pop-up (which was probably a fault).
My metadata has been running smoothly for 3 years.
The new metadata agents work differently to the legacy ones.
