In that case, try another match (if there is more than one) or switch to another database. Instead of using the agent “Plex Movie” in the search options dialogue, try using the agent ‘The Movie Database’.Not all matches actually have metadata associated with them at the online databases. Unfortunately, there is generally no way to correct that unless you have access/membership to the online databases and are able to edit the entries there.
You can go to the respective forums and inform the powers that be, that the metadata is missing or not being served when requested, but other than that your hands are tied.
Of course, there maybe other causes for this issue, so if the above fails, do the Plex dance with the Movie:
Plex Dance (© OttoKerner):
- Remove offending files from your Plex Media Folder. (Make sure Plex is not aware of the files)
- Update Library (Not ‘Refresh All’)
- Optimise Database
- Clean Bundles
- Empty Trash
- Replace offending files into your Plex Media Folder.
- Update Library
…Let each step complete before moving to the next step. Then, when step 7 has completed, grab your Plex logs by clicking on the download logs button in Plex settings->server->help and then attach them here please.
You know there’s a metadata issue right?
