I have downloaded several episodes of the BBC TV series called “Timewatch”. Using the normal S01E01 format, the metadata is not being correctly by pulled down using thetvdb.com agent as usual. I checked the actual listing, and it shows that each season is the year, not the season #. So I tried S2015E01 as example below. I then counted the number of seasons aired, #31 in this case. Again, no correct metadata came down.
Any suggestions on how to fix, I manually added the information and put the shows in a “Home Video” library for now. I really want it in with my other TV shows.
Well, I am pleased to say that it worked this time. I did use S2015E01 format when I first loaded the file, maybe there was an issue with the agents at the time. All is well that ends well. Thanks for your help on this. Cheers
Figured might as well bump here instead of making a new thread. I had the same issue with Timewatch, and it seemed to be related to the file being an AVI.
On a whim I finally changed the extension to MP4 (with s2003e10 as the name) and scanned, and the episode metadata showed up. Then I copied the file and changed the copy back to AVI, scanned again to get duplicates. Then finally deleted the one I’d changed to MP4 and it left the correct metadata on the episode.
