I have noticed a problem with TheTVDB metadata agent lately. For some reason, When I add a new episode to an existing show or when I add a new show to my TV folder, the metadata agent matches the show correctly and downloads the metadata (or at least it is reported as downloading in the activity log). But for some reason, the metadata is never loaded so the show(s) just have a grayed out icon and the episodes are just listed as "Episode 1, Episode 2, etc. An episode here and there isn’t difficult to manually enter the episode information but adding a new show with many episodes is. Just as a test, I changed the metadata agent to TheMovieDB and re-scanned the folder. Everything was correctly identified, the metadata was downloaded, and then it was loaded so all of my shows display correctly (with one exception… MythBusters). TheTVDB treats that show as having multiple seasons per calendar year so instead of Season 1, Season 2, etc. it is Season 2003, Season 2004, etc. That in itself isn’t such a big deal except I would have to rename every episode (again) to have TheMovieDB metadata agent correctly identify the episodes. For some reason, TheMovieDB and TheTVDB have the episodes listed in different orders. I would therefore have to figure out which episode is which in addition to renaming each of them. A very time consuming process to say the least. It would be MUCH easier if I could get the problem with TheTVDB metadata agent figured out and ultimately corrected. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
I’m also experiencing the same thing. Everything in the last few weeks shows up as “Episode x”.
Ditto - here to and the movies are not loading the posters this was given in another post but I haven’t tried it yet so if it helps you or me remember to post so the rest of the people who come here will know support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201424327-Why-do-I-get-metadata-but-no-images-for-my-library-items-
well well well. you cannot whitelist individual sites on windows 10 at the moment so that can’t be helpful even if it would be x_X
