My Plex server which is running on a WD MyCloud is building the metadata from scratch every time WD Mycloud is powered up. the impact is that you have to wait an hour before the Movies are available to view. is there a way this can be set to only update newly added content only ?
is there an option that avoid that? I have already unselected booth option below:
Update local metadata every three days
Update all libraries during maintenance.

So, there are no chances to avoid that metadata update begins when Plex’s service starts?
i Have already setted maintenance when NAS is certainly turned on, in order to do that, but in the next restart it will update metadata.
It’s a waste of time and CPU operations do that whenever i turn on my NAS.
