Any word from the staff?
Thought I was crazy when this started happening to me yesterday. Was very frustrated because my naming conventions are in perfect shape.
Glad to come here and see itās a widespread issue. Hopefully itās fixed ASAP.
Iāve been having the same problem for many days as well.
Just tried to refresh metadata and it seems to work now.

##To all:
Sorry I slept in late (being Sunday and all⦠haha).
It looks like a regional/partial outage.
Can everyone help me by confirming:
- tvdb2.plex.tv is reachable
- api.thetvdb.com is not NXDOMAIN and is also reachable
Thanks,
- āErrorā: āNot authorizedā
- Error 522

Thanks everyone.
What we know :
- Cloudflare is us and theyāve got that part. Timeout reaching api.thetvdb.com is the problem and theyāre working with TVDB folks now
- Not Authorized is the correct reply when reaching to it directly from your browser
Cool. Thanks for the help and the update.
https://tvdb2.plex.tv/ => Error 522
https://api.thetvdb.com/ => āErrorā: āNot authorizedā
Strange ⦠seems to be the other way around for me ā¦
After several refreshes https://tvdb2.plex.tv/ now shows the āErrorā: āNot authorizedā message and api is at Error 522.

Sorry. I was too fast there. Just realized itās because I set Plex to fetch metadatas from The Movie Database for my TV Shows. It works as good as TVDB for nowā¦
Am getting metadata through now (London, UK).
Also a quick thank-you to the Plex Team for appearing in this thread: even if it was still throwing errors when Chuck originally posted, itās always a relief to know that someone is working on it.
It appears to be working now, EXCEPT I need to remove the show and then re-add it to get the metadata. Hitting ārefresh metadataā does not work.

Try refreshing by series, instead of an individual episode. Worked for me.
