Working for me also. Refreshing metadata doesn’t seem to trigger it but I did a “Fix Match” and re-selected the show and it’s now working. Saves you from doing the dance.
Correction - Refreshing does seem to work. All is well.

Refreshing metadata within each series is working for me. Thanks to the PLEX crew for the communication and action!!
Brilliant, working for me now too.
Thanks Chuck and team for the help.
Now, it works on my side too.
Thank you PLEX.
If everyone is working, please mark this as solved?
If not , please ping me
All good on my end as well.
Not working for me. I added three new TV episodes a couple of days ago. At first none of them picked up the metadata (no episode names). Then yesterday 2 out of the 3 suddenly picked up the episode names. The third episode I had added (latest Grey’s Anatomy, Episode 15) still refuses to pick up the Episode name. I decided to try and “Fix Match” but have made things worse. I now have 14 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy with no art and no episode names. Aaaaaaaarghhh!!!
In addition, if I ping tvdb2.plex.tv I get “Request Timed Out”. It gets proxied to proxy00.spop.ams.plex.bz [82.94.168.7]
I am in Scotland, UK.
From UAE, it is is still not working except if use through a VPN.
Perhaps UAE has a nationwide block on plex?

Just added latest Homeland episode and after a couple of hours the metadata downloaded, including the episode name. But others still not downloading. So seems to be very intermittent. I will test with VPN (using USA) later this evening and update response.

It is not working only for the tvdb agent but it is working for the moviedb agent… So plex request are not blocked completely from UAE…
So I do not well understand… But most probably it is related to another problem than the one solved in this thread
TheTVDB itself suffered a hard outage over the weekend. Their main host api.thetvdb.com failed. This is the one Plex uses.
There are reports that it’s partially back.
I have reached out to operations again to see what’s happening / ask for any update available.
And everyone else
Checking with operations, they’re a bit stumped and have asked for more information
curl -H "Host: tvdb2.plex.tv" proxy00.spop.ams.plex.bz
curl -k -H "Host: tvdb2.plex.tv" https://proxy00.spop.ams.plex.bz
Please report all findings.
1 & 2 above should return “Not Authorized” if working correctly. (those calls lack the ‘secret sauce’)
A rather odd problem I am experiencing after the outage is the metadata is loading for me, but the metadata titles are mixed up with other episodes titles while the summary is accurate. I am adding a tv show that has never existed on my database prior to the outage. I am using thetvdb.com database as a source to name my files before adding them to the database.

Has anyone managed to solve this issue. Plex now seems to eventually find the metadata but can take 3-4 days. Is this due to ongoing issues with the TMDB service?
Still getting this same issue (even after others are saying its now resolved)
In UK and get not authorised for both addresses.
ping fails to first one but replies from api.
Is this still an issue on tvdb end or do I need to do anything my end to try and resolve this?
I have tried refreshing metadata etc with no luck (Although movies seem to be working fine)
I’m in UK as well and still got issue with TV episodes. But as with @Aaron2104 movies are working fine. Which suggests it is to do with tvdb service/plex integration.
FWIW, I’m in Florida and none of the currently airing shows I’ve added in the past couple weeks show anything except “Episode 10” (with the correct number). Interestingly, the two OLD shows I added that have been off the air for a decade or more (Hee Haw and Other Space) downloaded their metadata just fine. However, none of the Murdoch Mysteries or The Magicians (2015) episodes have downloaded metadata for about the past two weeks. I have been manually going to thetvdb.com to get it and copy it by hand, one field at a time.
Oh, FWIW, I ran the two ‘curl’ commands suggested earlier in this thread and both returned:
{ "Error": "Not authorized" }
So I assume they are working as they should?
I have the same issue with movies and tv shows…
