I have some playlists of tv shows (for example, Christmas episodes) because you can’t create collections of just episodes. I’d like to migrate them to lists so I can share them with other users on my Plex Home. Is there any easy way to do this? Some of them have dozens+ episodes and it would be a pain to add them one by one. Thank you.
I don’t know about an option to migrate playlists to lists.
As for creating episode collections… you can absolutely do that!
- Classic collections: select the episodes, click Add To from the context menu and either select an available episode collection or create a new one
- Smart collections: switch your library to episode mode, apply an advanced filter and save the result as a smart collection

Here’s an example of @tom80H’s second point. I was just about to post that I use this functionality extensively. I keep a collection published to my Home Screen of whatever series I’m binging at the moment, only including unwatched episodes sorted in ascending release date order. For example:

I have a Christmas episode playlist that I created manually with quite a few episodes. Is there now an easy way to get those into the collection? I was able to get many by doing a smart filter on episode titles containing Christmas. But many of them don’t have the word in the title. They do in the episode summary, but that’s not filterable. And I can see a way to create a smart collection from a playlist.
I don’t think you can convert a playlist or select its content to add it to a collection.
