Migrating to New Synology - Doesn't See Activity

I have previously been using a Synology DS1812+ for media storage with an Nvidia Shield as my Plex Server. I am trying to migrate to a Synology DS1019+ that acts as the server.

My media collection is all copied over and the new server is up and running. I see both just fine, but I am getting a behavior that is confusing me.

I decided not to try to migrate the library off of the Shield and instead just set up a new one on the new server. I have a sizable collection so I have planned for a number of days while it generates chapter thumbnails, preview thumbnails, and detects intros on my TV series.

When I open my web browser to port 32400 on the Shield (the server I want to retire) I see activity notifications from the new server that it is building thumbnails, etc just like I expect. At the same time I have another browser open to port 32400 on the new Synology and there are no activity indications at all. Looking at the NAS, it’s clearly working on things, they just aren’t being reported through the interface if I am connecting to the new server with the most current build.

I have rebooted the new Synology, and for a short while after the reboot, I would see the activity in both browsers…but after letting the PC sit dormant for an hour or so, I come back and I have the old behavior…I only see activity when connected to the Shield.

Does anyone have any idea what I might be missing here and what I need to do to get this working as expected?

Can you download the Logs ZIP from it and attach please?

Restarting PMS and trying to make it do something should also track in the logs.
Let’s see if we can find out where it’s hanging up?

I may have muddied the waters, hopefully not. I saw the preview version with the updated metadata scraper, so I loaded it and scraped with it to see if that changed the behavior.

It sort of did, maybe?

I am getting more of my activity notifications, but not all. The Shield is showing that it is searching for intros on TV series and the Synology does not show that activity, but it does show other things.

Here is a screenshot of what the browsers are showing. The one connected to the old server (on the left) is always showing more than the new server shows.

The activity that was not being displayed when connected to the new Synology Plex server was “Detecting intros”. I think all other activity is being shown.

Any idea why that one would be reported differently by browsers connected to the two servers?
