Missing Files

Hi,
I have 684 movie files in an unique folder on an unique drive.
The Plex scan finds 676 movies but I can’t find a way to make it find the 8 missing.
For example, I have the 3 “xXx” movies named “xXx (2002)”, “xXx (2005)” and “xXx (2017)”.
Plex has found both the 2002 and 2017 ones, but not the 2005 one.
They all are .mkv files and almost the same size (around 2Go).
Could you help me with this issue? Thank you in advance.

Do you have a subfolder for every movie?
Or are they all lumped together in one folder?

Try appending the IMDb ID to the folder name, as described in Naming and organizing your Movie files | Plex Support

Thanks for your reply.

They all are in the same folder.

Then separate them into subfolders. This is the first thing you should try when there are problems with proper matching.

Try using the complete movie title.
For instance, “xxx (2005)” is properly known as xXx: State of the Union (2005) — The Movie Database (TMDB)

Look them up on TheMovieDB.org and IMDb.com

Unfortunately, nothing’s worked.
I’ve created a subfolder and moved my “unknown” files in it: nothing.
I’ve renamed them; nothing.

I don’t understand why 676 movies have been scanned and 8 didn’t.

Still wondering…

Thank you.
