As the title suggest, “Missing “Live TV” restriction setting for all Users > Friends > (User) > Restrictions”. Seemingly recent versions of the PMS have removed this or something else is funky. I tried to re-add my DVR but it doesn’t show anymore.
Has this been removed?

You should still have “Allow access to Live TV” for users that are a member of your Plex Home. Users that are only friends are not able to have Live TV shared. This was allowed inadvertently and was patched awhile back.
@Klownicle there is a thread on it here. Apparently, it was a “bug” that they introduced this functionality and won’t comment on why they took it away.
@jpringle03 It was removed because it was functionality that was not intended to be available to users that are not within the Owners Plex Home. It was unintended that it was shown for regular friends and thus was removed, this was explained by @“MovieFan.Plex” in the very thread you linked so I’m not sure why you are saying they won’t comment on why it was taken away.
@All, I see! Thanks! Well it’s pretty much bullshit. The reason it’s “not allowed” is to prevent Plex from getting hammered down the likes of how other “TV” internet providers have. Understandable, just a bit of a disappointment. I wasn’t using it at the moment, but I liked the idea of it.

The actual questions were tiptoed around about why exactly it was removed and why a feature (not a bug) that people actually wanted couldn’t stay.
I was helping someone with a setup for their family who refuses to use “Home” and prefers each person has their own device and userid/password they log in without the ability to switch users.
This and not being able to allow other family members to setup DVR recordings made this a no go for this family.
