The answer was pretty complete, in order to make recordings from the EPG more reliable they are only using the info from the EPG.
Plex doesn’t comment on possible and future development. If they are working on automatic replacement of metadata from the scanner after recording you won’t know till it is released.

Electronic Program Guide (EPG) detail is provided to Plex by Gracenote. The detail of info that Gracenote receives is from the Broadcaster. Seems your broadcaster is giving abbreviated descriptions leaving you to do an update to pull from your chosen source.

XTi 4144” with 4 tuners. I don’t use the EPG from the box because it’s not complete.
That’s why I use the EPG from PLEX Server, but this information is not complete too. Than I have to rework this Movie Manuel. I wanted know is’it normal or I doing something wrong? It’s a movie and not a series, so I couldn’t do anything with the previous information, Ithink so.
Or is this not supported so far? As a reply to “drzoidberg33” I wrote back, he no longer replied to my post. Sorry, I findet not so good, that he not wrote back to me. Than can you tell me that the System are not so far to do that.
Maybe you can give me more detailed information if the Plex can’t!
