I haven’t been able to find much info about why some films are missing from the search functionality in Plex. They seem to be in the TMDB and IMDB, yet cannot be found when searched for by their title. Is there another metadata provider they have to be added to as well in order to show up?
Is there a trick (such as using IMDB/TMDB IDs for Fix Match) to pull these up?

Fix match should work fine since it doesn’t use the same Discover search. This is just searching by title & year.
You can also search by TMDB ID.
Damn, I wish they’d add an option to include unrated films in the search results, as I use Plex as my main watchlist whether I have the film in my library or not, and there’s plenty of older/foreign/etc. films with no rating, adult features, etc. that I’d love to add to my watchlist without actually having them in my library.
