Mobile Sync and different users

Hi, hopefully a straightforward question - if I buy a Plex Pass primarily for Mobile Sync and Plex Home, will it allow my children’s user accounts to use the Mobile Sync feature individually? Currently all three of us have separate Plex accounts and access the same Plex server via mainly Android tablets. I obviously don’t want to buy three Plex Passes! So I am hoping I can buy one Plex Pass for me, add the kids as managed users - but I still need them to be able to use the Mobile Sync feature.

Also - can Mobile Sync write to an SD card?

Thanks!

Nick

Yes, this is indeed possible. After you have signed up for your Plex Pass and made sure your server is signed in with that account. You will be able to go to Edit a Share, you’ll find a checkbox that says Allow Sync when you are editing user permissions to the shares on your server (you’ll see it in Edit a Share under the heading Restrictions).

You also don’t need to set up Plex Home for this either, it will be possible just as your shares are set up currently. There are other benefits to Plex Home such as setting up restrictions for users and such however.
