i don’t know if it is just me, but user management within plex pass is not very cool. i want to bind my plex pass to my admin account (as it is right now). to watch movies and stuff i would like to use a dedicated “viewing” account. basically this is no problem, but to give this user the ability to use the plex pass features (especially the mobile app) i need to create a plex home with all users, which is the thing i don’t like. plex home is cool to quickly switch between users, but to give them access to plex pass features it is not.
what about some kind of account page (like office365 admin center) where you get let’s say 15 licenses (as you can add up to 15 accounts to your plex home) and you can assign these lics to the users without creating a plex home?
What kind of Plex Pass features do you want to give your users? Because the majority of Plex Pass features are used by the server. And thus every user who has access to the server can benefit from it - Home member or not.
You can create a “viewing account” for yourself easily.
But if you invite more people into your Plex Home, you need to protect both with a PIN.
And it is recommended to invite only those people into your Plex Home with whom you are living in the same household.
For all others use Plex Friends.
for me the mobile app is the feature i want to give to mobile users they don’t like to have the plex home user selection every time they open the app. that allmost all other features are used by the server is clear, but especially for the mobile stuff i don’t really like the current way a plex pass can be used.
protecting the admin account with a pin is clear and it is already active, but in my opinion a admin account should always be seperated from regular accounts. but it still pops up in the selection of plex home.
plex friends is also clear to me and i use it to share my server with a few friends. but let’s take this example… i’ve also shared my server with my brother, but if he want’s to use the mobile app (sync content for a flight) he can’t. so i want to give one of my “included” plex pass lics to him without adding him to plex home

That is easily avoided:
all official Plex apps have a preference named ‘Auto-Logon’. When activated, this logs in the last used user when the app is started.
(in the web app this is called “Automatically Sign In”. You’ll find it under Settings - Web - General)

but i still have to add them to plex home. so it is possible to change users which enables someone to enter other peoples accounts.
e.g. in my home we created 2 users, one for me and one for my girlfriend and we like the feature that we can easily switch between those two without always entering pins on the tv. but my brother or someone else should not be able to use one of those two accounts, as they have different permissions. so something which makes it easy to unlock plex pass features on the mobile app would be great.
