Triggering a server-side / pushed sync to another user's account on Plex mobile device?

Hello –

I’m trying to learn how to make better use of Plex Home features for our family. In particular, I’m hoping to be able to sync some content to various kids’ mobile devices to take on the road with us. Everyone has a Plex user account; the kids’ have parental control restrictions turned on so they don’t get to see the full library.

I know that I can log in to Plex online with my PlexPass account and trigger a sync to a remote device. However, this seems to sync the media to my account on the remote device. I would instead like to sync it to different users’ accounts, in particular ones that have parental controls on? That is, log on to Plex on the web under account “admin” and issue a command “sync this media to ipad #2 under account daughter #1”. Is this a supported use case?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Ramon

If you ‘Switch User’ in the web app, you are actually ‘becoming’ that user. So you can trigger Sync’s in his name.

side note:
While you’re there, under ‘Account’, you can edit each of your user’s audio and subtitle selection preferences and set an individual avatar picture.
