I’ve a 140GB music library that I’m attempting to sync to an Android device. It syncs without issue until ~53% and stops with errors.
On the client, it displays the message “There is an error with this item”
At times, it will resume syncing and on every file it transfers slowly it displays that message.
Basic troubleshooting on the client side between app, device, and bit flipping in the client produces occasional resumption but eventual failure. It’s hard stopped at 57% right now.
The client is configured with Audio Quality of “Original” and Item Limit of “None.” Use mobile data is disabled. Storage limit is 200GB on external storage.
On the server side, restarting produces similar results. At times, it seems the PMS will become less responsive and will require restarting.
I’ve been tailing the following and checking “Console” in the web application:
tail -f "/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs/"*.log /var/log/messages
The error messages in the logs have been less than insightful but this message appears to pop up with every file error:

I was half expecting something in the filesystem such as a character in a filename or directory causing an issue with an app. As is, I’ve literally no clues to work off of and don’t know where to go from here.
How can I isolate and resolve this issue? Appreciate any insight.
