More external subtitles then files?

So I have a rather strange problem, I’m running the latest plexpass server on FreeNAS with CP and SR as usual. Earlier I had them both set to download subs but changed that so I only use the SubZero plugin for plex instead. But now I suddenly have more subs to choose from then there are files in the folder?

If I open the movie in VLC I just have the internal sub to choose from, where are all the external srt’s hiding?

Make sure you have no subtitle agents active anymore.
If these subtitles are still there after you Refresh the movie, they might hide in the ‘metadata bundle’ of the movie within the Plex data folder.

WebTools has a way to find and remove these (selectively).
