Move library folder on same volume

I want to restructure my media collection. I want to move my libraries to different folders on the same volume. The sub folder structure of each library will not change.

I do not have enough room to copy the library as suggested in the wiki. If I simply rename the library folder and redirect on the server will I lose my custom metadata etc? Is there any other way round this?

I had seen that thread and was daunted by editing the database.

Pleased to say that the simple trick of adding new folder to library and then moving files worked!
