I have been ripping kids DVDs for use in Plex. I originaly had them in the Movie Folder. I decided they were more like TV Shows than movies. So I moved them from the Movie Folder to the TV folder and then did a sync. The shows did not show up in the TV listing. I then moved them back to the Movie Folder and did a sync. They did not show up in the Movie list. What am i missing?
TVShows have a much stricter naming convention to follow. You can’t simply move file in your show library. They must follow the law of naming.

When you say sync, are you talking about updating libraries?

Yes. I use the Scan Library Files option. The thing I don’t get though is that i have moved the files back from the TV library folder location to the Movie Folder location and they do not show up in movies.
Should they? I mean if you did not empty trash then they should still be in the movie library just with a “trash” icon on them. if you move them back the “trash” should disappear. And because of this you won’t see them as “newly added”.
It would appear that they have decided to show up again. Thanks for the help.
