I had Plex server setup on a Synology NAS and accessed it through a LG TV or my mobile phone.
I now moved house. The new place has its own wifi/modem/router. I connected the nas and can access it. I can open Plex on this new network and Plex server is running, but access to Plex files through my phone seems to have lost the server.
Are we talking about the phones no longer being to access the Plex Media Server while connected to the same home network or from outside your home network (remote access)
You might want to check the network and remote access settings anyway to ensure they match the new home networkā¦
So you can access the server using the local IP address (https://[NAS IP]:32400/web) but not from your phone using the same network?
I suppose youāre running the native Plex client for those phones (e.g. Plex for iOS / Android), not through the mobileās browser (e.g. using https://app.plex.tv/desktop)?!
Sorry tom80H. I hope I can try and explain better.
I have a Synology NAS that has the latest Plex Server app installed.
I have previously accessed this server (all on local wifi network) using an LG TV, an iPhone, and iPad. It worked without issues.
Now I have moved the NAS to another home that is under a different wifi network.
I can access the NAS using an IP address and browser.
I have launched the Plex server by logging into the synology os and launching the server app.
This seems to launch the plex app and I get the user login screen. Following entry of the user pin, I get a home screen that states āAdd your media to Plexā and a āGet Plex Server buttonā.
I am stuck here⦠when I click on this it takes me to downloads for media server or for client.
In my desperation, I tried clearing all authorised devices, with a hope that launching the plex sever app from the NAS would ask for reauthorisation and therefore a reconnect. No luck though.
I just moved too and am experiencing the same problem. I can access the Plex app on my phone but it only brings up the free Plex TV programs, I canāt access the files/movies on my Synology NAS.
My new place isnāt on NBN yet so have had to get a new 4G Wireless modem.
I suspect this is what has caused the issues.
