Server Version#: Version 1.32.2.7100
Player Version#: PlexAMP (Latest) on PC, Android, iOS.
Hello,
I moved my music library to a different NAS, I added the new SMB path to Music library, let plex find all the files again. Everything seems fine, but now I don’t see any spectrum info on the play scan bar within PlexAmp, also crossfading isn’t functioning as clean (or maybe at all). I have rebooted, and forced the library to analyze everything again multiple times, but it’s not bringing the spectrum analysis info over. I even see Plex running something that says Specrum Analysis Restoring in activity. It happens very quickly after the library finishes analyzing.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get my music library working 100% again?
The soundprint, loudness, sonic analysis and other features depend on Plex performing a “deep analysis”. This is usually performed during the defined maintenance window of your server.
Check out the related settings in Settings > [Server Name] > Library (e.g. Analyze audio tracks for loudness and Analyze audio tracks for sonic features).
Depending on your server’s capabilities (=CPU) and the size of your library, this can take quite some time.
I for sure have both those setting set for scheduled maintenance and when media is added. Made sure the library also has Sonic Analysis checked as well. I even extended the scheduled maintenance, but it never starts to do the deep sonic analysis.
Deep sonic analysis was already done previously to the library long before moving it (it took forever I remember), but this seems to be what I need it to redo again, but it won’t do it again, or I can’t find a way to make it.
So, I let the scheduled tasks keep running and eventually it started scanning and fixing the sonic analysis for the whole library. Everything is working as it should be again.
