Hi,
My movie collections have disappeared on Android TV client.
They were showing up just fine until about 3-4 days ago.
I can still see them on the web app on my pc.
I noticed that the app was recently updated on the Play Store - I suspect the latest update caused this issue?
I have cleared the app data and also reinstalled it with no fix.
I just tried logging into my NVidia SHIELD TV (2017) Plex Client App and the Movie Collections have reappeared. I’m considering this a closed issue however please try to be aware of this problem for any future app updates that are pushed out.
Server Version#: 1.16.5.1552-8e8d0c785 (synology NAS package)
Player Version#: 7.25.3.14365 (1a8c550e)
Same problem for me on Sony Bravia TV with the following detail added: Collections show up under “Library” (e.g. see screen shot, note “Aliens” collection) but do not under “Collections”. Problem started in mid to late November. Attached screen shots as requested. Collections show up as expected on web app on PC.
I have been waiting for a Synology Plex package update (the version I had installed was 1.16.5.1552) . In the past when I tried a manual upload of the most current Plex spk file, I had performance problems and had to revert to the current Synology Plex package. I tried the manual update just now to version 1.18.2.2058 and boom! the collections are back. Am I incorrect in assuming the Synology notifies me in the package center when a compatible Plex version is available?
I think they just have not updated their package center. AFAIK we don’t control the updates available. It is not like an app store where we submit a new version to be approved.
Possibly. Afaik there have been some issues with our various linux repositories that I believe need to be worked out. I don’t have the details though
Collections were not showing on my Sony Bravia. “No Items to display”. Fixed by doing a force quit on the Plex App and clearing the cache under the App settings on the TV.
