On my iMac it shows all movies individually but on my iPhone and iPad there are duplicates. Example next to say The Godfather there is a duplicate and underneath it says 3 movies whereas under the other version it say 1972. Or if there is not a series of movies it will say 1 movies (bad English) and the date of the movie under the other. Pretty sure it started when I tried messing around with Collections and genres and really got that in a right mess so tried to get rid of genres and collections but looks like I still have a mess.
That’s not duplicates but your collections showing inline within your library. Check out the Plex Blog from Late December which explains this feature.

You can notice the difference as those collections don’t show the movie year but the number of contained items. The collections you see are either manually created by yourself (ˋEdit > Tags > Collectionsˋ) or downloaded along with the metadata if you had activated that setting for a library or the agent (e.g. on library Level ˋEdit > Advanced > Use Collection Information from The Movie Databaseˋ).
