Movie File Name - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

First post. Sorry if it’s not in the right place. I have searched the forums and Google for an answer to this question to no avail.

In my media library is “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (2005).” I have tried several file naming conventions, but no matter what I do the movie that shows up in my Plex Media Player is the 1979 cartoon version of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

I’ve tried both including and excluding “The Chronicles of Narnia.”

I’ve tried both including and excluding “2005.”

I’ve tried all sorts of variations of commas here and there, hyphens, other punctuation games. If anyone can help me, I’d be grateful!

Thanks so much! I love Plex!

Just tested this and both of the below versions worked for me:

The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

Which exact names have you tried that didn’t work?
If the name keeps giving you trouble you could try including its IMDb ID at the end of the file-name in brackets (e.g. The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) (tt0363771).ext)

Don’t forget to perform the Plex Dance after renaming the file, if the movie was mismatched by Plex.

I have Chronicles of Narnia, The - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005).

I know it does look a bit silly that way but that’s the way I do it and Plex has matched it automatically everytime.

it does… but as long as it works for you and you know how to fix it if otherwise – who’s to judge
