Hello! After hours of trying and searching, I now turn to you. I installed the Plex server software on my synology NAS (DS418). The playback of films from the Internet works perfectly. But Plex doesn’t find my own films. I am sure that I have entered the paths to the media folders correctly. These are on my NAS. One such path is, for example, “/ volume1 / Video / __ MEDIATHEK / MOVIE”. But Plex doesn’t import any of the movies that are in the folder. Is it the NAS, is it Plex? I dont know. I had switched off the firewall completely. But that was not a success. Can anyone help me further?

First, a suggestion
Over time, we learned that using the default Synology-provided Video
share is always a pain in the backside.
We end up making shared folders of our liking and moving our media there.
Once there, DSM (itself) doesn’t keep interfering with Plex.
To correct the import problem I think you’re seeing ( It sees the folder but not the contents??) .
Please scroll down through this post.
I show how to add permission so Plex can read your media shares.
