Can't add my video files to Plex

I’ve installed Plex on my Synology NAS. Whenever I try to add the directory on the NAS to the Plex Library, it adds a Library with that name but it’s always empty. I don’t see how to tell Plex to see the movies in my “video” directory on the NAS.

This is likely a permissions issue. I don’t know much about Synology, but there’s plenty of posts about this particular issue, here’s one of them:

There are several other posts with more details, if you do a google search for “Plex Synology Permissions” you’ll get a bunch of relevant items. Hopefully one of them has the secret sauce for your issue.

That seems to be it. I added R/W permission to the Plex user and it found my files.
