Movie Library Scanner spins forever, causing degraded capability

I have had this problem since the PMS build that came out at the beginning of the year, when I scan my movie files, it will scan infinitely. It will stop on a random movie and spin forever. When this happens, it also will give intermittent streaming issues and even issues with the plex app client from even seeing my server. A reboot will fix this, only if I catch the scanner from starting to scan again. My work around these past few months has been to go to settings\Library and unchecking “Scan my library automatically” and “Scan my library periodically” and essentially never running a full library scan. I do keep the “Run a partial scan when changes are detected” option selected and this will catch most of the new content that gets added to my server on both movies and TV shows. I thought after a few months with this that this issue would be resolved. In this latest version of PMS that was installed this month I turned those automatic scanning options back on (works better than just the one partial scan on detected changes option). However the exact same thing I was seeing in February of this year. I know other people have the issue because there are 3rd party articles claiming they “solved” the issue by having you download an archived version of PMS from their sites. To be clear I have been using PMS for years and never have had a problem related to scanning until this year and have kept the same settings for a few years.

after rebooting. I intentionally scanned my movie library. I watched as it scanned and it showed the files that were being scanned and the completion circle filling up. Like other times, it will “scan” until the circle is around 80% filled in by my estimation. This time as soon as I noticed it looked to be stuck I pressed the "cancel, I immediately downloaded the logs (see below copy/paste. what seems to stick out is the 6 lines that I have placed immediately below. These six lines can also be seen how they were logged below. The logs listed below are from when I first initiated the library scan on the movies.

Can you post your server log zip? I am not sure your excerpt has enough data.

Need the full zip or does my reply work? I am not sure if you saw it when Initially responding. If not it’s fine. I’d have to go back and get more

Yes, thats why we ask for the server logs, Rarely do the excerpts that users randomly pull out and edit actually contain useful information. Having the raw logs allows us to look for issues we have seen before.
