I recently began exploring Plex as an alternative to XBMC/KODI, and have been running Plex on my Xbox One.
My media library is located on my PC, and I have folders for 'movies' and 'tv series'. I added the 'movies' folder to the 'Movies section of my Plex library. I then added the 'tv series' folder to the 'TV Shows' section of my Plex library. They have since been fully scanned (multiple times) and all metadata etc downloaded.
On the Xbox One, when I go into the Movie section I'm presented with different groups of movies based upon Plex's own classifications (e.g., best unwatched, etc), and when I choose the 'browse' section I can see every movie in my library, and they all play perfectly fine.
When I go into the 'TV Shows' section however, I am not presented with a sceen of Plex's classifications, etc, and instead all I get is an empty screen with the 'browse' button on the left. When I click the browse button the circular loading indicator spins around for a while before I eventually receive an error asking me to check that my device is connected to the network. However, if I back out of TV Shows section and try multiple time to load it, sometimes it does actually load the complete list of TV Shows in my library, and when it does I can play them fine. However when I select the TV Shows button 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work and I get the error.
Anybody able to shed some light on this? I've seen other people reporting errors where Plex asks them to check their device is connected to the network but for them this error was popping up during playback. My error is in the loading of library itself, yet playback is fine once the library actually loads.
In case it's relevant, my Xbox One is connected by wifi to a wireless AC router and the signal strength is 100%. My computer (which houses the Plex library) connects to the wireless AC router via wifi also and the connection speed is 300 Mbps.
