Hi
Downloaded the Xbox One app a couple of days ago and have been testing it with the default TV / Movies libraries without any issues.
I decided to try and add some of my home movies tonight too see how they worked. They are set up in a TV library using the "Plex Series Scanner" and the "Personal Media Shows" agent, and are currently in a folder, with sub folders for each item:-
-- HomeVids << folder shared in plex library
-- Pets
-- 1x01 - Puppy.avi
-- 1x02 - Puppy2.avi
-- Holidays
-- 1x01 - Spain.avi
-- 1x02 - Disney.avi
Etc, sure you get the idea.
These work fine on Plex on the PC, and iPad, you can see each top level folder, then obviously in each is one series, with all the videos.
On the XBox one, when you go to the library, you get the usual "on deck", "watch next" (might not be named this, are a couple I don't remember), and on the left the "browse all". If you go to "browse all", and select any of the top level folders, instead of getting the option to then select the series, you just get the play icon, and the watched icon. If you click on the watched icon, it hangs the app, and you need to quit it to get it working again.
I've done some testing, and am coming to the conclusion on the Xbox One its something to do with the "Personal Media Shows" agent. I copied the folder, and make a new library, and the only change I made was selecting the "TheTVDB" agent, and it worked fine, in so much I could pick the wrongly scrapped titles, and then the series, and play the video files.
I hope this makes sense, its kind hard to explain in writing, but to summarize:-
A TV library using the "Personal Media Shows" agent, doesn't let you browse the "shows", but if you access this same library off the iPad/PC or via the web, it works fine.
Thanks
Paul
