I run my PMS on a FreeNas server. About 3 days ago I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded to FN 11.2. With that upgrade, the management of any jails created prior to the 11.2 install would have to be managed in the older GUI. I decided to spin up a new IOCAGE jail using the plugin provided in the FN GUI. The install of the plugin was painless and I was able to import all of my media with 0 issues.
After giving the server 2 days to finish the library scans I saw that most of the movies in my library no longer had a movie poster attached. I checked all of the settings and ran a metadata update and still none of the posters updated.
I have been prowling both the FN and PLEX forums looking for possible fixes, but none that I have found work. I have tried the Plex dance, I have disabled IPv6, I have re-ordered my agents multiple times.
The server is available both internally on my local LAN and is visible to my family over the internet.
I know that metadata is being retrieved on TV shows because I have subtitles available after the new episodes are indexed. Server console shows a lot of communication going on with external servers, so I think that access to metadata services is fine. It only looks like posters are an issue. I can download and assign the posters manually, but I have over 1000 movies on my server so that is time intensive.
Any ideas?
