Movie scanning on folder not on file

Lately my imports have been scanning the film name based on the folder, and not on the file. I have my movies sorted by Radarr which places articles after the title, such as “A Clockwork Orange” is filed under a folder called “Clockwork Orange, A” but the file inside it renames as “A Clockwork Orange (1971).mkv” (or something like it).

The scanner seems to be taking the folder name strictly as it is to scan, and is failing whenever there are these articles that get moved to the end, leaving me to manage them myself.

Is this expected behaviour? Or has the naming convention changed?

This is the original scanner, not the new one that’s being developed and tested.

Tell Radarr to name the folder and the file the same thing - and name them correctly.

The movie isn’t named:
Clockwork Orange, A

It’s proper name is:

A Clockwork Orange (1971)/
....A Clockwork Orange (1971).mkv

Stray off the beaten path - and make failure your daily thing.
