Movie Titles Not Being Updated

Two suggestions:

  • Change your file path/names to be compliant with Plex’s guidelines. In this case, try:
/Plex/libraries/movies/Oldboy (2003)/Oldboy (2003).mp4

If you need to keep the rest of the info in the file name for some reason, enclose it in square brackets:

Oldboy (2003) [REMASTERED.KOREAN.1080p.BluRay.H264.AAC-VXT].mp4

This will cause the scanning agent to ignore it.

  • Configure the scanning agent your library uses such that Local Media Assets is not the first choice:

    You may want to do this for both the Plex Movie and The Movie Database agents, just to be sure. After making these changes, force a manual scan of the library.

Finally, you may need to Plex Dance the item(s) just to be sure the changes are implemented.
