I have Mac Mini running PMS and it is pulling movies from two different Synology boxes on my network. Everything has been working fine until yesterday. I moved a movie into my Movie folder, updated the library and I can’t see the movie. I tried copying it to both of the Synology boxes, renaming it as well as converting it from MKV to MP4 via HandBrake. I still can’t see it. Any thoughts?
Andy,
Thank you for the information. I checked the file permissions on the Synology box and they seemed correct. Everything was r or rw. I rebooted the box and nothing helped.
The file names of the movies that aren’t showing up are the same as the older ones that are showing up (title.mkv, title.mp4).
I looked through the Plex log files, but I honestly don’t know what to look for. I didn’t see anything that read like “this isn’t working” or any obvious errors.
I dropped another movie in the same folder as the rest, updated Plex, but it didn’t show up either. I’m kind of at a loss at this point. I’ll keep fiddling with it and see what happens. Again, thank you for helping.

You want to check the Plex Media Scanner.log files. Or provide them here for us to look at.
Sure thing! I have PMS log files 1-5. I’m not sure what the differences are. Thank you all for helping out.
Hey, your scanner logs indicate that the drive where the media files are stored is unavailable to PMS.

Something changed on your Nas so PMS can no longer see it.
