Movies missing from library that were there before

I have about 775 movies in a few sub directories and about 2 dozen were not in my library that I swore were there. I gave up and deleted the library and recreated it after cleaning and optimizing the database. When I add the folder tree back in it quickly scans up and shows 775 movies and I see the blank entries for many moves and some thumbnails for movies that were missing in the old library. After the library is done scanning I am back to having missing movies in the library. Funny before it finished scanning many had their thumbnails there, then it is like the get removed. What could be causing this? They are all m4v files.

Ditto! All my content dissappeared! I tried re-adding it with no luck! Help!

I only have about 24 movies that drop out and they are in same directory as others. Very odd and preventing me from going all in with Plex.
